Shinsōsai (Shinto Funeral)
神葬祭
Funeral officiated by a Shinto priest according to the Shinto religious tradition. A prayer is chanted for the soul of the deceased and a tamagushi (branch of sacred tree) is offered to deities.

神職によって神道の形式で執り行われる葬儀。死者の霊に対し、祝詞を奏上し玉串を奉る。
